Vic: Work on Eastern Gas pipeline project halted

Work on a critical stage of the Eastern Gas pipeline project in Victoria has stopped
over a union bid for a shorter working week.

Australian Workers Union state secretary BILL SHORTEN says its members voted yesterday
to stop work until Monday.

Also on strike are members of the the Electrical Trades Union and the Construction
Forestry Mining and Energy union.
