NSW: Three found shot dead in Sydney unit
Three people have been found shot dead in a south Sydney unit today.
Police say the bodies were discovered in a flat in Ashton Street, Rockdale, about 4.55am(AEDT) this morning.
Concerned for the welfare of the occupants, police officers gained entry to the unitwith the help of the New South Wales Fire Brigade.
Police say that once inside they located the bodies of two women and a man who hadsuffered gun shot wounds.
Further inquiries led police to a unit in the eastern suburbs.
A police spokeswoman says a 25-year-old Maroubra man's assisting police with inquiriesat Waverley Police Station.
She says no charges have been laid at this stage, but investigators have been grantedan extension of time to interview him.
Police are investigating the deaths and have established a crime scene at the AshtonStreet apartment.
