THE DAILY TELEGRAPH:
PG 1 - Adelaide man David Hicks' dream for at least three years was to wage war with
his Muslim "brothers" in the Middle East, and he shared his vision in poems to his family.
PG 2 - Terry Hicks, David's father, desperately tried to persuade his son not to fight
against his own country in Afghanistan; Top story continued from page one.
PG 3 - Pentagon officials have denied any knowledge of the whereabouts of David Hicks,
and signalled he may be in the custody of Northern Alliance fighters; Australian agents
are investigating possible links between an Australian "sponsor" of David Hicks and his
terrorist training in Afghanistan; Terry Hicks' story continued.
WORLD - Israeli planes yesterday struck in a wave of retaliatory raids for a double
attack by Palestinian militants; The two surviving members of Kurt Cobain's group, Nirvana,

BUSINESS - Shares in weapons developer Metal Storm shot 35 per cent higher yesterday
in local trading; The Australian dollar planted itself over the US52c mark in early European

for the fourth day in a row.
SPORT - Shane Warne is back bowling "flippers" for the Adelaide Oval match against
South Africa today.
