Fed: Nationals have betrayed the rural poor Beazley

Federal opposition leader KIM BEAZLEY says the National Party vote in the West Australian
election collapsed because the Nationals have sold out country people.

Mr BEAZLEY says the Nationals chose to be part of the federal government at the expense
of their mandate from rural voters.

He says the Nationals have failed to serve the interests of what is objectively the
poorest group of people in Australia.

And he says the Nationals are now being punished for their actions.
