LIBRARY UPDATES ITS INTERNET SITE.(AT HOME)(Book notes)

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County has a redesigned Web site, going online Monday, that will make using the site easier. Now users will be able to link to nearly all information through the site's home page - www.plch.lib.oh.us.

Among the newest resources added to the site is the 29-volume ''The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.''

Also new to the site are ''Business NewsBank'' and ''Business & Company Resource Center'' for business users.

To come shortly is ''Gale's History Resource Center,'' including ABC-CLIO's ''Historical Abstracts'' and ''History and Live.''

Used book sales

The Friends of the Kenton County Public Library will hold a sale at the Erlanger branch, 3130 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Ky., Monday through Jan 20. Sale hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 20. Prices range from 50 cents to $5. Information: (859) 572-5480.

The Friends of the Public Library Warehouse Sale is Friday-Jan. 21 at the warehouse, 1621 Dana Ave. All categories of books, except collectibles, will be offered. Prices start at 50 cents.

A limited supply of framable posters and art prints and some encyclopedia sets also will be sold. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

A Preview Sale for Friends' members will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memberships can be purchased at the warehouse the night of the event for as little as $15.
