Fed: Woman appears in court on manslaughter charge

A Canberra woman has been ordered to go a mental health assessment .. after appearing
in the ACT Magistrates Court on a manslaughter charge.

BENCHANAS RESNIK is accused of killing CHRISTOPHER FRENCH yesterday morning at the
Ainslie Village crisis accommodation centre.

The court's been told RESNIK is currently under a mental health treatment order ..

and has been treated for mental health problems in the past.

If doctors determine she doesn't need treatment .. RESNIK will be sent back to court
for a bail hearing.
